Guy Fawkes Run
Hares: Backwash, Have You? & Peter Eat Her
"Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot."
Whatever that's all about! The UK hares showed their true (stingy!)
colours with a measly amount of chalk. Search parties were sent to find
the missing trail! How could there possibly be so many checkbacks with
such a scarce amount of chalk? That Guy fella was honoured with a
stellar fireworks show along the canal and 3 virgins showed up for the
sacrifice. Plenty o beer and accusations followed. Next week we take up
a collection to supply CHALK for the cheap hares!

Hares: Tim Bits & Sh*t Creek
We couldn’t let this one get away without trash… a sh*tty trail indeed!
Faded marks, backward marks, and intersecting turkey/eagle trails left
us all sufficiently confused. Runners developed a ‘follow the hare’
tactic until he jumped ahead during the first beercheck with FRESH
chalk. A second beercheck was promised, but delivery was delayed… did
the hares need THAT many excuses for down-downs? Much-anticipated food
and drink soon had harriers and harriettes forgetting the troubled
trail and for once Sheila had no accusations…. Miracles really do
happen!

Hares: Twisted Tits & Hook
Now older and wiser, our dedicated hare, Twisted, knew where to lay
trail this week. A tricky check-back or two left the usual FRBs at the
back of the pack. Scratch N Sniff’s house made for a great hash lullaby
stop. Tie Me Up reappeared from Cuba and 3 virgins joined us,
confessing that ‘the internet made them cum!’ Priceless!

Hares: Fat Ass, Twisted Tits
Starting out on the wrong foot (trail?), our birthday Hare, Twisted,
set trail in the wrong neighborhood. Candystripper and Just Melodie
followed suit and were lost before circle! Twisted wannabes donned some
ridiculous headgear (HEAD? Who said HEAD….?) Twisted blew out the
candles and made a wish that next week she would know WHERE to lay
trail! Just Melodie gave up her slave name and will now be known as
Double D – a reference to ‘deaf and dumb’ or her flashing habits???
Fatass’ food and drink and short-cut trail were a welcome sight on a
rainy night!

Dum-Dum, Da-Dum Run
Hares: Toulouse Le Goat & Muddy Shot
A warm send-off hash for the happy couple led well-wishering hashers to
Rideau Falls where a ceremony ensued, complete with champagne and a
veil. Loosey Lockets gave a 'blessing' and the rowdy crowd paused long
enough for a toast and group photo. On to Tugal's for circle. With our
GM back and the fair-weather crowd in full force, a long round of
accusations kept us singing for our suppers!

Hares: Laid in China and Beaver
It seemed that someone had pissed on the neighborhood's collective
cornflakes this morning: a squad car joined the beer check and cranky
neighbour-man made his annual snarky appearance, busting in mid-circle
with a whine and a cry. His case didn’t get much sympathy from a circle
of thirsty hashers (nor a soundly sleeping Abigail) and the group
carried on to celebrate. Extra special down-downs to Sheila's
retirement and Laid in China's incredible culinary treats!

Hares: Candystripper & Fish Fingers
Location: Connors' Pub, Bank St.
Narry a chalk-mark nor FRB survived the monsoon that presented itself
strategically between trail-laying and first “On-on”. Rookie Harriettes
learned a lesson and have pledged to never again leave the pub when the
clouds roll in.... barstaff met a soggy crowd of harriers with towels
to mop brows and beer-drippins - and we were actually invited back!

Hares: Captain Hindgrinder
Nothing to report on trail … for on this miserably sunshiney day, I,
Fish Fingers, took the road less traveled and joined the walkers (or
shall I say, ‘Hobblers’?) and headed straight to the rum stop. Loosey
proved his skill at sniffing out the rum and showed up as FRB for grog
at Brittania Yacht Club. Next Mustard Balls appeared, fashionably late,
and polished off the rum punch. Circle at Buster’s led to many
accusations for our wanna-be athletes, leery pecker-checkers, and keen
water-stop volunteers for Ottawa’s Race Weekend. Extreme honorable
mentions to Cockwench and Have You for taking on two race events in one
weekend! Bloody keen wankers!

Spring Country Run
Hares: Spike & Necrobabe
Orleans had never seen such a sight: Traffic halted while
Hotflash/Captain Hook/Shee-la led us in a resounding version of ‘My
name is Joe’ on a hillside… well, not quite, but it sure was a funny
sight with limbs and torsos and backsides flailing! Hashers dodged
traffic and lawnmowers, the FRB’s hit a splendid ravine in hopes of a
river-crossing, Spike left us an inspiring sidewalk poem, and Cockwench
raided garbage bins… but don’t you think those crutches were a bad
omen? Back to the patio for a fine barbeque where Flounder (in the
absence of our GM) led circle and Backwash, our back-up RA, called the
shots.

Stoney Swamp Run
Hares: El Tucuche and La …?
A fair number of hashers braved the bugs on Monday night at Stony
Swamp. El Tucuche encountered some spelling challenges with the
Turkey-Eagle split…. We still haven’t determined what the ‘R’ stood for
(‘Rauncy’, ‘Racy’, ‘Ridiculous’?) but the confusion led to a mutiny of
the runners and a group split. Our FRB’s managed to spot a turtle and
even found some shiggy. For the rest of us fair and delicate souls, we
made it back to circle relatively unharmed. Circle brought welcoming
down-downs for returnee Deli Belly, nearly-nude Flounder and Beaver in
the parking lot, and Peniscillin demonstrated how to down a banana in
one bite … not so easy, is it, fellas?

Taurus B'Day Bull Run
Hares: Loosey Lockets, Little Big Man
Tropical temperatures brought out our fair weather hashers for
tonight’s run… or was it the magical run # 1269 that sent good karma?
Birthday boys Loosey Lockets and Little Big Man hared us through South
Keys, across railroad tracks and overpasses…. Hashers tolerated a
little motion sickness from the zig-zagging but most faired out okay.
Cockwench got a wee bit nipply on the iceblock and the birthday boys
chilled their cheeks while we toasted and roasted them. Another year
older, another year…. wiser?

More Than Just Hitlers BDay Run
Hares: Plastic Jesus
Monday’s 4/20 hash brought out the munchies in all of us. PJ, the hare,
was nowhere to be found during introductions, but he showed up with a
panful of fresh and frisky brownies to send us off across bridges and
ditches, battling raging winds and water. No hasher succumbed to the
rain, nor wind, nor dark of night, though Birdie and Never-Never were
thought to be huddled in a culvert, waiting out the storm. They showed
up just in time to christen Never-Never’s new shoes and join in a
well-baked version of Swing Low.

*Editor’s note: Neither She-la nor FatAss seemed concerned over their missing spouses. Here’s to lonely nights!

Cda Bash 08 Red Dress Run
Hares: Flounder, Loosey Lockets, ToLouse Le Goat, Muddy Shot
This special annual Canada Bash 08 run involved a large group of local
and visting Hashers appropriately attired in Red Dresses showing their
Canadian spirit by running around historic downtown and Parliament Hill
amongst the masses on Canada Day. Mere words cannot express the public
shock and hilarious fun encountered, so please check the pictures to
the right.

Cda Bash 08 Boat Cruise
Hares: Backwash, Ed The Sock, Bobbit
This run was part of Canada Bash 08 and involved an A to B run starting
at Hogs Back Pavilion and wound itself South following the Rideau river
where we met up with Bobbit's house Yacht, then a romantic booze cruise
back down river.
While the co-hares spent hours setting the trail (multiple X's) in
pouring rain, they still mgd to F^&K-it up. Nonetheless, a well
attended Hash pack involving many visitors & luminaries mgd to find
the way to Beer & Grub at Bobbits boat upriver.

Visit The Governor General Tour
Hares: Tim Bits & Just Sonya
Highlights of this weeks run in Pictures.
Darkness. The Blessing of Tim Bits (Obviously not repeating the Coppus
no catchus prayer often enough).
Tim Bits seems to have given us a hint that the run would wind up on
Dalhousie St., our run beginning with HO3 proudly emblazoned in the
snow at start of trail.
Also featured is a police sponsored song-hold and beer stop that had
Flounder sprinting as if the Papparazi from hell were on his heels.
Also note the fine addition to HASH apparel - the Loblaws answer to
Gore-Tex socks. And a number of flattering shots of Just Sonya.

Annual Erections
Hares: Peter Eat Her
Well, we had a great turnout last night and a great trail (blatent
self-promotion) was set by yours truly. The booze was flowing pretty
freely but through the fog of beer fumes I vaguely remember the
eRection results. I also vaguely remember parallels being drawn to
Musharaf and 4-more-years so if you disagree with the outcome, you have
been warned! So here we are ... roll of drums ... the OH3 mismanagement
until who knows when:
GM - Peter Eat Her
Religious Advisor - Ed The Sock / Flounder
GM of Vice - Backwash
Hare Raiser - Cums & Goes
On Sec - Beaver
Hash Cash - Little Big Man / Spike
Web Meister - Loosy Lockets / Cap'n Hindgrinder
Song Meister - Beaver / Have You
Beer/Pub Bitch - Cumikaze / Just Sonia
Cheers ............. Peter Eat Her
